AGENDA for MAY 20, 2006

Liquid Fuel and Electrical Energy of the future! Here are your options for Liquid Fuel:

  1. Very and ever increasingly expensive diesel oil and gasoline.
  2. Bio Diesel derived from plants and garbage.
  3. Ethanol derived from food like corn.
  4. Oil made from coal.
  5. Methanol made from any kind of plant matter ie. switchgrass.

Sources of electricity:

  1. Sequestered carbon coal fired power plants,
  2. Advanced Nuclear plants making electricity and hydrogen,
  3. LNG fired power plants.
  4. Wind power plants,
  5. Solar power plants,
  6. Fusion power plants.

All sources can be used to make HYDROGEN, plus bio hydrogen plants. The point is that the energy future is going to get way more varied and complicated. The two fundamentals of HYDROGEN, cheap fuel cells and low cost high density storage, have yet to be technologically achieved. The reaction competition is already in motion - THE CASE OF UNITED NUCLEAR, which is close to a hydrogen storage solution. Hanover Fair- PRICES ADVERTISED ON FUEL CELLS.

Greetings and Introductions: Chapter President, John Gotthold, greets all attendees and asks each attendee to state their name and a short synopsis of their background and what they hope to learn by attending the meeting. 10 minutes.

1. Greetings and Introductions: Chapter President, John Gotthold, greets all attendees and asks each attendee to state their name and a short synopsis of their background and what they hope to learn by attending the meeting. 10 min.

2. Technology Update: United Nuclear- busted by the government!! for getting too close to a hydrogen storage solution!!! Gashub in Europe selling stacks. Coal based jet fuel ready for production. Pt and Pt-Ru Carbon nanotube catalysts. Hydrogen fuel cell powered land speed record vehicle - The Buckeye Bullet-2.

3. Government Support for Hydrogen: Congressional $50,000,000 in prizes for breakthroughs in hydrogen technology. EU extending hydrogen bus trial - very successful. More hydrogen stations going up around the world. President Bush makes green noises on Earth Day. First operational fuel cell train in Japan. Norway: Tax exemption for hydrogen cars. Hydrogen hybrid prototype Military trucks.

4. The Race to Hydrogen for Transport: Mazda to race hydrogen rotary in American Le-Mans series. GM kills Hummer H-1. Quantum building 15 hydrogen hybris Prius for HyNor, the Norwegian hydrogen highway. GM Sequel a dog on the road. Ford talking deep hybrids - all local running on the batteries - hydrogen/m85/gas engine only on the highway.
