Chapter Meeting - 21 August, 2004
More Hydrogen Service Stations going up around the world. Proposal for a US National Hydrogen Interstate Highway! The END of the first half of the AGE of OIL. Since 1869, when the first oil well was drilled, the world economy has enjoyed an ever increasing volume of oil and natural gas with which to power the global economy. The second half of the AGE of OIL is the declining half. Every year hence there will be less Oil and Natural gas with which to power the world. The depletion rate is estimated at 6% per year by 2006. The current fossil powered world has 6.4 billion people. The UN estimate for a horse powered world is 1 Billion max.
- Greetings and Introductions: Chapter President, John Gotthold, greets all attendees and asks each attendee to state their name and a short synopsis of their background and what they hope to learn by attending the meeting. 10 min.
- Technology update: Hydrogen Harley- Is it possible- Yes. Proton Motor has a system built for battery replacement for lift trucks. 18 kW, Ultracap regen, Now the question is, is ti affordable?. E mail inquiries will find out
- American Hydrogen Association - Silicon Valley Chapter - Local initiative: Where will the first South Bay hydrogen station be located? Which community will lead the future?

- AirlinerContrails heating the Earth: Faster than the fossil fuel Greenhouse effect. 9/11 kept all the planes grounded for three days, providing a baseline from which to study the contrail cloud effect. Major effect now realized.
- Metallic Rubber: Built with nanotech, translucent, highly electrically conductive, gas impervious, bounces like rubber. Is this the new fuel cell material?
