NOTES: Since hydrogen is only an energy carrier, a way to store solar energy as a gas, we need to look at ways to utilize it most efficiently. 5. Global Warming: The Eskimos are having a time existing on the North Slope. The Greenhouse effect is making the hard ice season shorter and shorter. The time to make ice roads passable to bring in all the fuel and material to last through the next year is now only weeks long. Greenhouse gas rising from melting permafrost at a rate much faster than predicted. Who's the big bad greenhouse gas emitter? Large hydro - new studies show that large dams emit more greenhouse gas per kilowatt than gas or oil fired power plants!!!!
