1. Hydrogen Transportation: Kia to sell 10,000 fuel cell cars by 2015! UTC fuel cell buses complete 7,000 hours of service with original fuel cell. 2. Hydrogen Technology: Amonnia borane - 19% hydrogen - easy release catalyst is the key. Nanoporous materials for hydrogen storage. SunPower claims 24.2% on solar cell. Innovalight thin film solar cell at 19%. Scandium in SOFC. Bury-able fuel cell system. Burying them makes them cheaper? Noise bent fibers for nano-electrolysis! Hydrogen proton smaller than previously believed (no wonder we can’t see them)! Carbon nanotubes and nitrogen for oxygen side catalyst.
3. Hydrogen Business: NRG - flat rate for unlimited charges for electric cars? Underground coal gasification to alkaline fuel cells to electricity for buildings - Australia. Westport hit $17 per share. They do natural gas and hydrogen injection conversions. Solar industry to do 10 gigawatts annually by 2015. Hydrogenics doing grid stabilization electrolysis. Conoco-Phillips to revitalize Storagetek site for fuel cells.
4. Government Support to Hydrogen: Germany - full alternate energy report. Goal is carbon free by 2050. Griffith University solar high-rise - Australia. California to demand 30% renewables by 2020. Canada to shutter 33 coal fired power plants by 2025. TVA to buy renewables.
5. Global Warming and Oil Depletion: May and first half 2010 global land and ocean temperatures 1.24F above the 20th century average of 58.6F. It is not possible to deny global warming any more! The only question is how fast it is going to proceed. Arctic now near climate tipping point!
6. AHASVC: Besides product reviews, what does AHASVC want to do? How do we answer questions on hydrogen disasters? Interaction with AHA central and NW - how do we best support the other chapters? AHA Mission: "Develop renewable energy technologies necessary to build a Solar Hydrogen Civilization where every individual from every nation, community, and household has an opportunity for sustainable prosperity without pollution."
7. Hydrogen Fueled Product Specifications Review: 200 hours test results. M2 – 20 kW hydrogen refueling station spec sheet. Marketing questionnaire - what do potential hydrogen fuel customers want? Purity? Volume? Rapid-refill receptacles?
